2002 Queen's Golden Jubilee

The people of Gatehouse celebrated 50 years of Queen Elizabeth II being on the British throne by organising a day of festivities in Garries Park. Andy Chappell, a freelance photographer who lived in Gatehouse at the time, recorded what took place on Sunday June 2nd 2002. Below is a sample of his work which is kept in a folder in Gatehouse Library. We are very pleased to have Andy's approval to reproduce the photos on this web-page.
